曹力1954年生于贵州，是当今中国画坛少有的一位极富诗人和音乐家气质的画家，他给20世纪的中国画坛留下了一系列充满神奇与客观、梦幻与真实、过去现在与未来纠缠不清的、奇谲瑰丽的抒情叙事组诗。在众多的以神秘主题为表现风格的艺术家中，曹力以善于叙述清醒的神秘和真实的梦境而独具一格。曹力将艺术视为感情的放任，心灵的幻象，一种在精神世界中超越现实的理想；将冥想变为画布上的创造，使灵魂深处的激荡、迷惑，涌出艺术之门，曹力的独特风格也许是他独特的个性与生活的再现。

Cao Li was born in Gui Zhou province in 1954. He is an exceptional painter that is characterized by poetic quality and disposition of musician in Chinese art circle. He leaved a series of bizarre and magnificent narrative poems featuring miracle and objective, illusion and reality, entanglement of past, contemporary and future. Among many artists that consider mysterious subject as style of expression, Cao Li boasts his own unique style that is narrating sober mystery and realistic dreamworld. Regarding art as presentation of feeling, mirage of soul, and the ideal that is beyond the reality in the spiritual world and turning deep meditation into the creation on the canvas while the rage and confusion in the abyss of mind pouring out of the art door, the distinct style of Cao Li may be the recurrence of his unique personality and life.
