在中国古代文明的启发下，曹壹霖对其绘画艺术进行了新的探索。她应用综合材料的表现形式来抒发从中悟出的感触。每当她看到画布上那些记录着古代文明的历史时，总有一种新的灵感产生，促使她开始新的创作；她想由此来表现的不仅仅是绘画艺术，还要表达古代的传统文明和智慧。如今，许多的传统文明精华已被现代人所遗忘，我们应该唤醒人们去反思。基于这些思考，她创作了一系列的作品，并通过这些作品来传达一种态度和观点。这是一种具有艺术性而非形而上学的表现手法。 

On the way to Cao Yilin’s new research-the ancient paintings, she chooses the mixed material to reveal my ideas. When she sees the history of ancient people that attached the canvas, afflatus coming to her heart, so she wants to exhibit not only the painting art but also the Chinese traditional civilization and wisdom. Too much wisdom have been buried in oblivion by Modernist, we should awoke it. Base on these reflection, she invented a series of paintings. From the paintings, she conveyed a sort of attitude and opinion, she calls this “return to the ancients” expressional method and it not metaphysical but artistic.
